Tourism in Quito

Quito is a unique city for its topography, culture and urbanism. The city and metropolitan district goes from colonial to contemporary style, in a majestic Andean contour drawn by the Pichincha, Antisana, Cotopaxi and Cayambe volcanos.

The baroque temples with paintings and carvings, are a magical world full of religious art. Because of its physical beauty, traditions and places of mysticism and legend, Quito is considered "Reliquary of Art in America" and was declared "Cultural Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO in 1978.

Quito, the capital of Ecuador celebrate their unforgettable fairs, as the heir of a rich history and culture, in the month of December.
